IEEP, IBMA and the Think2030 platform invites you to Take part in the 2023 European Green Deal Barometer

IBMA is proud to be part of the Think2030 platform created by the Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and support the 3rd edition of the Green Deal Barometer survey.

Think 2030 is a multi-stakeholder platform providing science-based ideas and solutions for a sound implementation of the European Green Deal, in line with the SDGs.

Launched by IEEP and its partners in 2018, Think2030 is an evidence-based, non-partisan platform of leading policy experts from European think tanks, civil society, the private sector and local authorities. By focusing on producing relevant, timely and concrete policy recommendations, Think2030’s key objective is to identify science-policy solutions for a more sustainable Europe.

Therefore, we would like to kindly invite you to participate in the 2023 edition of the European Green Deal Barometer.

This annual survey gathers views from sustainability experts on the European Union’s progress towards implementing the European Green Deal and its constituent policies, and the political trends that may impede or accelerate that process.

With European elections taking place in 2024, we need your expert input so we can better understand the prospects for implementing the Green Deal before the end of the current term. The political balance of power could affect the progress of the European Green Deal, and we want to know how resilient it is expected to be in the face of any changes. This year, the survey will also take a closer look at the politics of passing the Green Deal, its social provision aspects, and its impact on non-European countries.

Some of the questions that we will explore in the survey include:

How resilient will the European Green Deal agenda be in the face of any changes to the current political balance of power resulting from the 2024 European Elections?

Which European countries are least committed to the European Green Deal?

How committed do you think different political groups will be to the European Green Deal agenda after the EU 2024 elections?

We would be very grateful if you could share your views on these topics. Your input is critical in monitoring the progress of the EU’s green policies, and can help identify pathways for delivering on the Green Deal objectives.

The survey is likely to take between 15-20 minutes. Your progress through the survey will be saved on the device you open it on, so it may be completed in more than one sitting.

To complete the survey please click the link below. Please fill in the survey by Monday 1st May 2023 Deadline extended.
