We are delighted to welcome, Niamh Holland-Essoh to IBMA as our new Communications Manager. For the past decade, Niamh led the communications team at IFOAM – Organics International where she was responsible for raising awareness of the solutions sustainable agriculture can bring to global challenges such as biodiversity loss, soil degradation and rural development. To achieve this, she worked with their members and network to ensure key messages resonated with target audiences and found innovative ways to communicate complex issues that helped position the organisation as a thought leader in sustainable agriculture. She also has extensive experience working on donor-funded projects where she provided training on communications and guided the implementation of national campaigns. Prior to this, she worked in event management and also as a freelance editor and copywriter.
Niamh will be responsible for communications at IBMA. This involves managing external communications to a range of stakeholders and the press, guiding member communications to ensure our members are kept up-to-date, managing IBMA’s input into events such as ABIM as well as increasing awareness of the importance of biocontrol solutions in sustainable agriculture. Niamh is an Irish national, living in Germany and now travelling regularly to Brussels.
