We are delighted to welcome Ana S. Lee-Diaz as our new Regulatory Project Officer. Ana brings a wealth of multidisciplinary and international experience to IBMA. Originally from Madrid, she earned a degree in biology from the Complutense University of Madrid before pursuing a master’s in biotechnology, specializing in sustainable strawberry production at Ghent University and ILVO in Belgium.

She later worked as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist at a major multinational, where she gained expertise in European GMO regulations and EFSA processes. Ana completed a PhD at the Netherlands Institute of Ecology (NIOO-KNAW), focusing on microbial inoculants that enhance plant immune systems and shape the rhizosphere microbiome. Additionally, she has volunteered on an organic farm, further demonstrating her passion. We look forward to working with her.
