We have Bernard Blum Award 2021 Winner! The best biocontrol product of the year is BioPersi+ Classic/Speed Sachet by BioBee Sde Eliyahu Ltd. The awardees have been announced at ABIM 2021 where David Cary, Member of the ABIM Executive Board and Owen Jones (Chair of the Bernard Blum Award judging panel) have presented the 2021 Bernard Blum Award short list success stories and the winning entry presentation. The best innovative product assisting uptake of biocontrol is T-Booster by Bioline Agrosciences.

Bernard Blum Award 2021 Shortlist Announced!
Bernard Blum Award Presentation (ABIM, 19 October, 17:00-18:00): David Cary, Member of the ABIM Executive Board and Owen Jones (Chair of the Bernard Blum Award judging panel) will present the 2021 Bernard Blum Award short list success stories and the winning entry presentation.
There will be informative presentations by the finalists in the Bernard Blum Award for biocontrol innovation.
The shorlisted for biocontrol innovative products are:
- Vectorite with CR-7 + Vectorhive by Bee Vectoring Technology
- BioPersi+ Classic/Speed Sachet by BioBee Sde Eliyahu Ltd
- PROBLAD by Certis Europe
The Bernard Blum Award is presented annually by IBMA to the most innovative biocontrol product of the year.
The award recipient should have a high impact in the management of pests or diseases whilst having a low impact on human health and the environment.
This year there will be 4 entries that are rewarded at ABIM and all 4 are given the chance to present their innovation.
- Bronze Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
- Silver Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
- Gold Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
And the fourth, a new entry: Award for best innovative product assisting uptake of biocontrol

Every year since 2015, an independent jury selects among a number of entries a winning biocontrol product which provides an effective solution in the management of pests or diseases while having a low impact on human health and the environment.
Similar to the past six years, IBMA will award a trophy, interview and product placement in New AG International and 2BMonthly publications, as well as complementary registration for ABIM 2021 for the winning innovation. The four shortlisted finalists will have the opportunity to present their innovative products at the award ceremony and banner/poster display at ABIM 2021, the premier global biocontrol industry event.
