Dear IBMA Member,
We are delighted to announce that Jeremy Belzunces joins IBMA as IBMA Technical Project Manager.
Jeremy Belzunces has a background in policy and diplomatic work in Brussels. Jeremy worked for six years as a Policy Advisor in EU Agricultural Affairs for the Agricultural Department of the diplomatic Mission of Israel to the EU. Working closely with the Agricultural Attaché, he advised the Israel Ministry of Agriculture and a range of governmental and industry bodies on the development of EU agro-policies and the EU Sanitary and Phytosanitary regulatory framework.
He worked on regulatory developments, drafted reports and positions on EU agricultural policies and provided liaison between Israeli businesses and EU organisations. Jeremy became acting delegate for Israel to the OECD Committee for Agriculture and two OECD working parties (Agriculture Policies and Markets, Trade and Agriculture).
Jeremy will lead the IBMA Secretariat work on the following projects:
- IBCA harmonisation study underway with the European Commission
- EU RATION project working on risk assessment schemes for microbials
- OECD relationship
- Minor Use Coordination Facility
Jeremy will also be the “Go to person” for the IBMA Professional Groups.
Jeremy is a French National and has a double Masters in International Business and Management Studies. He lives in Brussels with his wife and 2 small children.
