The Bernard Blum Award is presented annually by IBMA to the most innovative biocontrol product of the year.
The award recipient should have a high impact in the management of pests or diseases whilst having a low impact on human health and the environment.
This year there will be 4 entries that are rewarded at ABIM and all 4 are given the chance to present their innovation.
- Bronze Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
- Silver Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
- Gold Award for an innovative Biocontrol product
And the fourth, a new entry: Award for best innovative product assisting uptake of biocontrol

Every year since 2015, an independent jury selects among a number of entries a winning biocontrol product which provides an effective solution in the management of pests or diseases while having a low impact on human health and the environment.
Similar to the past seven years, IBMA will award a trophy, interview and product placement in New AG International and 2BMonthly publications, as well as complementary registration for ABIM 2023 for the winning innovation. The four shortlisted finalists will have the opportunity to present their innovative products at the award ceremony and banner/poster display at ABIM 2022, the premier global biocontrol industry event.
