ABIM 2025: Where the biocontrol industry, policymakers and global leaders meet

Basel, Switzerland – 15 October 2025  – The Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting (ABIM) 2025 is set to take place from 20-22 October at the Congress Center Basel, Switzerland. Recognized as the premier global event for the biocontrol industry, this year ABIM will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss the latest developments and future trends in sustainable agriculture. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, ABIM will also have a festive vibe where founding fathers and innovative biocontrol talent will share the stage. This year’s edition has attracted 170 exhibitors and expects 2100 delegates from around the globe to join ABIM to exchange knowledge and network.

Event Highlights

  • Keynote Speech: ABIM 2025 will feature a Keynote and Panel Discussion: Demonstrating and Scaling Biocontrol to Pave the Way for Resilient Agriculture with the keynote speech from  Gabriele Schachermayr  – Assistant Director, Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture FOAG. 
  • Presentations, Workshops and Panels: A series of presentations, workshops and panel discussions will address a wide range of topics, including regulatory challenges, market trends, and innovative solutions in biocontrol from prominent figures in policy making, the biocontrol and sustainable agriculture sectors.   • Exhibition: The event will host an extensive exhibition, showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies from 170 leading companies and innovative start-ups  in the biocontrol industry.
  • Poster exhibition and sessions: 80 poster presentations will spark interesting discussions among the participants on a range of topics, from scientific and legal issues to business matters.
  • Networking Opportunities: Attendees will connect with industry peers, explore potential partnerships, and engage in meaningful discussions on the future of biocontrol.

Start-up Village

At ABIM 2025, the Start-up Village was introduced, offering start-ups operating in the biocontrol industry a brand-new exhibition area. By offering this prime-location space, ABIM has boosted new small companies and unlocked the sector’s innovation potential. A total of 10 new enterprises will present a variety of solutions and products designed to address current challenges in biocontrol.
